Joshua Zirkzee, the Manchester United striker with a history at Bologna, was a target for AC Milan throughout the summer transfer window. However, in the end, the negotiations were thwarted by commission fees, preventing the Rossoneri from securing the player.
According to journalist Daniele Longo, there remains a possibility, not to be dismissed, of Zirkzee potentially returning to Italy, should the path reopen.
“Zirkzee would gladly return to Italy, possibly as early as January,” Longo reported. “It remains to be seen whether United would agree to a loan. Joshua could become a subject of interest for Juventus, while for Milan, despite their strong interest, the matter seems to have concluded definitively.”
