Milan: Gabbia returns, pause for Miranda

AC Milan is making moves this winter transfer window to strengthen their defensive line-up, with the return of Matteo Gabbia likely. This will bring some relief to head coach Stefano Pioli who has been grappling with a defensive dilemma. This development comes after Villarreal’s confirmed signing of Eric Bailly on a free transfer.

The switch enables former Milan player Gabbia to leave the Spanish club and return to AC Milan in the Serie A.

However, plans to bring over Juan Miranda seem to be cooling off. A stumbling block appears to be the €4 million that Real Betis has requested for the player, whose contract is set to expire this June.
