In an interview with Sky Sport following AC Milan’s win against Sassuolo, Milan player Alessandro Florenzi voiced his thoughts on the team’s performance.
Expressing his satisfaction with the team’s effort, Florenzi stated, “Today, we gave it our all. We walked off the pitch with our tongues out. We left it all out there, and that’s a key element of a successful team”.
He also lavished praise on the team’s coach, noting that he instills a lot of trust and flexibility among the players. However, he acknowledged that with that comes a sense of responsibility and passion.
Florenzi seemed content with his current performance and claimed that the coach always set him up in an excellent position to contribute to the team. He said, “The coach always puts me in a position to play and perform to the best of my abilities for the team.”
Closing the interview, Florenzi indicated that the team is now eagerly looking forward to their upcoming challenges. He stated firmly, “Now we need to recharge our batteries as we can’t stop here.” However, he added, in a lighter vein, “Whoever made the schedule might have. Not us. We’ll be off to bed after midnight while they’ll be toasting to the New Year. And that’s okay.”
