As per the current reports in today’s edition of ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’, it seems that Milan’s latest strategy to reinforce their midfield involves bringing Nemanja Matic back to the Serie A.

Matic, the ex-Roma central midfielder, desires to part ways from his current team, Rennes. The Serbian international is reportedly set to leave for a modest fee. The Rossoneri, having not signed Dimitar Popovic, still have one non-EU player slot available, which could be taken up by Matic himself.
