Manchester United, Ten Hag: Here’s what I think about winning the FA Cup

Manchester United’s coach, Erik ten Hag, spoke during a press conference following the team’s FA Cup victory against Wigan.

Ten Hag reflected on the game, acknowledging the team’s spirit and determination. He was quoted saying, “Ratcliffe? I believe he’s an inspiration. Everyone is optimistic but there’s a lot of work to be done.” Despite facing numerous setbacks along their journey, the coach noted the team’s resilience. “We had lots of bumps along the way, despite laying a good groundwork over the summer, but it’s a journey, it’s a project. We have to come to terms with some difficulties, but we’ll survive and overcome them.”

When asked about their chances in winning the FA Cup, he was reluctant to look too far ahead, emphasizing the need to focus on one game at a time. “If we can win the FA Cup? I think that’s too far off, we need to think game by game, especially in the cup. Right now, all our attention is on the league match against Tottenham,” he stated, signalling the team’s shift in focus towards the upcoming championship game against Tottenham.
