In a setback for AC Milan’s transfer plans, the signing of French defender Clement Lenglet has hit an obstacle.
It had been widely reported earlier that the Rossoneri were keen on bringing the Barcelona player over to Italy. However, the deal appears to have hit a roadblock.
According to Spanish press, Barcelona has no plans at this time to terminate Lenglet’s loan with Aston Villa prematurely. In turn, they have no intention of loaning him to AC Milan using a similar agreement.
So it appears that the road to Milan for Lenglet is now longer than previously anticipated, marking a potentially significant blow to AC Milan’s transfer market strategies.
