Lecce’s sporting director, Pantaleo Corvino, is said to be considering all options for a central defender role, as reported by the latest edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The Serie A club is reportedly keen on securing a new central defender during the January transfer window. This comes as the current selection of Baschirotto and Pongracic seems to be insufficient for head coach Roberto D’Aversa, who is looking for reinforcement in their quest for survival in the league standings.
In response to this, sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is said to already be on the task of identifying the right player in the transfer market.
