Lazio sporting director Fabiani reportedly flies to Spain as transfer deal becomes complicated.

Lazio’s transfer market dealings might be hitting a snag as the club’s pursuit of Verona defender Ghilardi appears to be facing hurdles due to high demands from Verona president, Maurizio Setti.

According to Il Messaggero, the Biancocelesti were close to securing the defender, but Setti’s financial expectations have significantly complicated the negotiations.

In response to these developments, Lazio’s sporting director, Angelo Fabiani, has reportedly jetted off to Spain in an attempt to secure a deal with Sevilla.

A club source noted, “We’re exploring alternative options and believe there might be other viable opportunities in the market.”

The move underscores Lazio’s determination to shore up their defensive line as they continue their search for a new addition.

With the transfer window open, the Italian side remains hopeful that a suitable agreement can be reached, whether with Ghilardi or a new target from the Spanish club.
