Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners has opened up about his experiences in the Netherlands and his progress as a player.
In an interview with De Telegraph, Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners shed some light on his time in the Netherlands.
“I am looking to replicate what I’ve been doing with Atalanta back in the Netherlands, but it’s clear that I am expected to fulfil different responsibilities here,” he explained. “We play in a different system in my club, I hold a static position, there are set patterns and furthermore, the hierarchy in the Dutch national team is different. There’s a certain level of pressure that comes with it, but this adrenaline gives me a supercharge: especially playing in stadiums like the Olimpico, San Siro and Allianz Stadium, I get excited to show the best of me.”
