Juventus coach Adrien Rabiot spoke to DAZN following their victory over Roma.
Rabiot praised the team’s performance, stating that “It was a good match, playing with Roma is never easy, especially with Mourinho.”
He admitted there were a few risky situations in the first half due to Dybala’s balls, but commended his team’s effort. “We were compact and started the second half well – we could have even scored a second goal. It was important to win to extend lead over those behind us, 43 points is a significant tally.”
The Juventus coach further noted the team’s physical fitness and gameplay. “In this moment, we are in good physical condition, and the last three days were really good. Tonight we developed good geometries.”
However, Rabiot was quick to point out that there’s still room for improvement. “In the end, we wasted some balls and need to improve. But we have begun to better exploit the width, we need to improve in crossing diagonals and exits. After conceding easy goals, we became afraid of conceding, which allowed us to have a better game.”
Discussing comments made by Acerbi, a player from Inter, Rabiot chose to remain focused on their own team. “I don’t know, I don’t comment on the words of Inter’s players. They are ahead by 2 points and are having an extraordinary season. We try to keep up, our journey is different. Just look at the age of our squad, we’re not looking at others’ houses, we’re focused on ourselves.”
