Juventus’ initial offer for Conceiçao turned down by Porto: here’s why

Juventus’ initial offer for Francisco Conceição has been rejected by Porto. Paulo Ramalheira Teixeira has shed light on why the Portuguese club declined the proposal.

In an interview given to Antena 1, Paulo Ramalheira Teixeira, a former candidate for Porto’s Superior Council on André Villas-Boas’ list, discussed the situation regarding Juventus’ target, Francisco Conceição.

“The Porto administration believes that Conceição has immense potential and is a key player for the future of the club,” Teixeira explained.

He further commented, “The offer made by Juventus did not meet our valuation of the player. We are committed to ensuring that any future transfer aligns with our strategic goals.”

Teixeira emphasised that Porto sees Conceição as a pivotal figure in their long-term plans. “Releasing him to another club at a value we deem insufficient would be counterproductive,” he added.

Juventus will likely need to reassess their approach if they are keen on securing the young talent from Porto. The negotiations will undoubtedly be closely watched by fans and analysts alike.
