Turin-based football club, Juventus, are reportedly plotting a move for Real Madrid’s midfield star, Toni Kroos whose contract with the Spanish giants is set to end in June, according to Italian sports media outlet Tuttosport.
The German World Cup winner has quite a decorated career at Madrid, having won four Champions League titles, adding to one he secured at Bayern Munich prior. Should the transfer materialize, he would have to agree to a substantial pay cut from his current wage of 12 million euros.
Those in the know suggest German compatriot, Sami Khedira’s glowing endorsement of Juventus and their coach, Allegri, could persuade Kroos to switch his alliance to the Italian grand old club. However, no direct quotes were given from Khedira.
Further updates on this potential move will continue to be closely followed by avid football enthusiasts across the globe. As for now, it remains a piece of speculation.
