Juventus coach, Massimiliano Allegri, spoke to DAZN just ahead of kick-off for the Juventus-Roma match.
He remarked on the importance of giving a commendable performance against Inter Milan, a team that he acknowledges are doing well, given their latest victory against Napoli. “It’s less about getting through to Inter, and more about the team’s performance and results in direct clashes. It’s particularly challenging against a team that’s in form and recently beat Napoli,” Allegri was quoted as saying.
Turning his focus to Federico Chiesa and Yildiz, Allegri revealed Chiesa had good training sessions but has been experiencing discomfort in the patellar tendon. “Chiesa had performed well during the last two training sessions but has been hindered by a patellar tendon irritation. His health is improving, so his substitution will be significant, but I’ve chosen Yildiz, who played well in Frosinone,” he noted.
Lastly, Allegri commended Roma, suggesting it is always tricky to play against teams managed by Mourinho and expressed caution in dealing with Paulo Dybala. “Roma is always troublesome, playing against Mourinho’s teams is never easy. Paulo is a skilful, elite, and reliable player, so we need to be vigilant,” he stated.
