Official confirmation has arrived that Fiorentina’s Nicolò Pierozzi is set to join Salernitana on loan.
In a statement, Salernitana said: “U.S. Salernitana 1919 is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with A.C.F. Fiorentina for the temporary transfer of 2001-born defender, Niccolò Pierozzi, until 30 June 2024. The player will wear the number 27 jersey.”
As previously suggested, Pierozzi’s move will see him reunite with his former manager, Pippo Inzaghi, who is keen to work with his old proteges. The move will be Pirerozzi’s first loan away from Fiorentina.
The statement was shared via Salernitana’s official Twitter feed. Further details of the deal are yet to be disclosed. Niccolò Pierozzi now gears up to begin his tenure with his new club, hoping to make a significant impact in the coming seasons.
Looking to the future, the success of this loan could open doors to more definitive playing opportunities. But for now, Pierozzi, the number 27, is preparing to create waves in Salerno, under Inzaghi’s guidance.
