Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi has spoken out about his team’s victory over Verona at San Siro. This was revealed in his post-match interview on DAZN.
Inzaghi analysed the win against Verona, an accomplishment that he felt was crucial. “The importance of three points is vital. Winning games like these are crucial,” Inzaghi said in the interview carried by DAZN.
Inzaghi expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance when they had possession. However, he admitted they needed to be more precise during the final phase. He believed the game would have turned easier if they had gained the lead early on, but they faced a valuable opponent who gave an excellent performance at San Siro.
Simone Inzaghi said, “Italian football games are never easy, and the last minutes of the game were intense. We all saw and experienced it”.
He revealed that there were two occasions when Inter could have scored after the draw by Verona’s Henry. Despite subsequently taking a 2-1 lead, the penalty decision went against them. “It was a hard-fought match,” Inzaghi confessed.
Reflecting on past performances, Inzaghi pointed out that his team has done much better at San Siro.
