Inter’s unprecedented Arnautovic-Klaassen attack against Bologna

Inter Milan’s manager, Simone Inzaghi, is poised to tweak his offensive formation for the upcoming Coppa Italia match against Bologna on Wednesday, 20th December, due to the unavailability of Alexis Sanchez.

This unexpected shift in the attacking duo for Inter Milan against Bologna is reported by Tuttosport. The initial plan was to have the ‘Niño Maravilla’ go up against the ‘rossoblù’, but now it looks like Klaassen might partner with Arnautovic.

According to Tuttosport, it is purported that “Mkhitaryan is too valuable to shift from the midfield to add balance there”. Consequently, Lautaro and Thuram might initially be on the bench with the hope of not having to field them.

This development comes after a difficult season for Sanchez, with injuries curtailing his playing time.

Simone Inzaghi will be keen to establish a robust attacking duo that could pose a threat to Bologna, especially with the potential absence of key players.
