Inter Milan’s head coach, Simone Inzaghi, shared his views ahead of the Coppa Italia match against Bologna in an interview with Mediaset.
Revealing his strategy for the Coppa Italia, Inzaghi stated Bologna poses a difficult challenge. Their current form and well-defined playing style, he suggests, will make this match anything but easy. However, he underlined his squad’s determination to progress to the quarterfinals.
Discussing the absence of specific players, Inzaghi named Sanchez alongside other players such as De Vrij, Dumfries, and Cuadrado who are currently sidelined, hinting at possible changes in his team’s defensive rotations. The coach emphasizes his focus on moving forward against a well-performing team.
Looking forward to the Champions League, Inzaghi believes it won’t be easy either, citing the packed fixture list. His focus remains on tackling one match at a time.
The coach also touched upon the recent transfer market activities. He highlighted Cuadrado’s loss due to surgery, reassuring that the management is vigilant and on the lookout for potential signings. With three games left until 2024, the planning, says Inzaghi, will begin in earnest soon.
