Inter Milan to fund transfers through key player sale, reveals Marotta

Inter Milan are already planning for the upcoming season.

In addition to the renewals of Barella, Inzaghi, and Lautaro (with only the first being officially confirmed), the club is actively working in the transfer market.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the most likely player to depart is Alessandro Bastoni, with the club considering his sale to raise funds for new acquisitions.

A source within the club, who wished to remain anonymous, told La Gazzetta dello Sport, “Bastoni’s departure could provide the necessary budget to pursue our primary targets in the transfer market.”

The decision to potentially sacrifice Bastoni has not been taken lightly, as the defender is highly regarded by both the fans and the management.

Club CEO Beppe Marotta is believed to be the mastermind behind this strategy.

“Bastoni is a valuable player, but sometimes difficult decisions must be made for the greater good of the club,” Marotta was quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The club’s intentions to fund their transfer market activities suggest a proactive approach to strengthening the squad for the next season.

Inter Milan supporters will undoubtedly keep a keen eye on the developments as the transfer window approaches.
