Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta spoke on DAZN ahead of the kick-off against Lazio.
Marotta remarked on the upcoming match, stating that like any other, the team is focused on securing the three points and ensuring consistency of performance, instead of dwelling on the current league standings. “Our team is composed of serious professionals who know how to motivate themselves and what they need to do,” he said.
Regarding injuries and team depth, Marotta dismissed any undue concern, asserting, “Injuries are part of the risk, we have put together a squad of great quality in numbers.” He stressed that decisions will be made based on needs while evaluating the situation, and despite injury risks, he is confident in the squad meeting the team’s objectives.
In light of enquiries about contract renewals, Marotta stated that, “These are dynamics that all clubs are facing. Today we are focused on this match, then the Coppa Italia match, and afterwards the one with Lecce, these are our priorities at the moment.”
Asked about comparisons between Mkhitaryan and Zielinski, Marotta sidestepped comparisons. He hailed Mkhitaryan as a “great professional” and a “player of great quality. Comparisons with Zielinski or any other player is irrelevant.”
Marotta’s statements consider the focus and determination of the Inter team ahead of what promises to be an exciting clash against Lazio.
