The transfer saga surrounding Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi to Leicester City has been thrown into question following a twist in proceedings, but what exactly went wrong?
Sensi, who plays for Inter, was on the brink of moving to Leicester City despite having completed his medical checks. Reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that an initial agreement was reached based on a loan fee of 500,000 euros with a buyout option of 2 million euros.
However, it appears that Inter made a last-minute change to the proposed deal. “The club shifted the original loan from fee-paying to free, reallocating the initial 500,000 euros to the total buyout sum,” states the report. This abrupt change is touted as the key reason for the deal falling through.
