Inter freezes contract renewals: Oaktree, Zhang and Suning option under consideration

Inter Milan has put on hold the contract renewals of Nicolò Barella and Lautaro Martinez amid uncertainty over the club’s ownership. All dealings have been frozen until further notice due to an ongoing impasse within the club.

The increasing likelihood of a takeover by the American-based global asset management firm Oaktree has halted decisions made by Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe Marotta regarding contract renewals.

All further action will be dictated by the situation with Oaktree and current Chinese majority shareholders Suning.

More details will be revealed as developments unfold.
