Inter Milan’s striker, Lautaro Martinez, is soon expected to renew his contract with the renowned black-and-blue club. As per the details of the negotiation disclosed in “La Gazzetta dello Sport”, Martinez’s return to the squad will be managed stage by stage.
“It’s all set, Argentine striker and Inter have mutually committed with a promise of partnership at least until 2028,” as quoted in the Italian sports daily.
The newspaper also reported that “the renewal will probably be announced in early 2024, just in time for the January 6 match, amounting to a salary of 8 million euros net.”
And while the captain seems unable to wait to get back on the field, his stepping back into game action will be carefully managed. The performance of Inter’s team rests on the health of the players, and Martinez’s return is undoubtedly eagerly anticipated by his teammates.
As for the opponents, they’re probably already aware of what they’re up against with Martinez on the pitch, as Inter’s manager, Simone Inzaghi, well knows.
