Haaland injury concerns City and Guardiola

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been dealt a mixed hand on the injury front. The team will be buoyed by the return of influential midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, however, concerns remain over their star striker Erling Haaland’s fitness.

The Norwegian talisman has been sidelined since December 6 due to a foot injury and is yet to fully recover. He has been ruled out for their next premier league match against Newcastle, a significant blow for the league leaders.

Guardiola, however, remains hopeful for Haaland’s swift return. He was quoted as saying, “We hope to have him back with the group soon”. The management and fans alike will be anxiously monitoring Haaland’s recovery, as the absence of the Premier League’s top scorer could potentially upset City’s title pursuit.
