Gasperini hints Koopmeiners desires Juventus move, not training anymore, feels Atalanta deserves spot in Warsaw

The Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini shared his thoughts on various topics including the transfer market and the Koopmeiners-Juve issue in an exclusive interview with L’Eco di Bergamo.

Speaking candidly, Gasperini said, “The situation was going very well until last week, then Koopmeiners decided to go to Juventus.”

He added, “There’s not much more to say about it, we have to look forward and focus on our goals.”

The statement comes amidst swirling transfer rumours and speculations, indicating a significant development in the ongoing transfer saga involving Juventus and Atalanta’s star midfielder, Teun Koopmeiners.

Further remarks by Gasperini underscore the complexity of managing a high-profile team during the frantic transfer windows.

“We always strive to keep our best talents,” Gasperini explained, “but sometimes decisions are made that are out of our control.”

The coach reiterated his commitment to the club’s success and urged fans to remain optimistic.
