The former Lazio player, Paul Gascoigne, recently gave an interview to *Sportscasting UK*, in which he shared his thoughts on several subjects, including the current challenging situation at Manchester United.
Gascoigne remarked, “I think there are some players who don’t realise which team they’re playing for.”
He expressed some sympathy for Ten Hag, stating, “I feel a bit sorry for Ten Hag; it seems some players are making a mockery of him.”
Gascoigne went on to suggest a managerial change, saying, “I’d love to see Ferguson take charge of the team for just one season to see what he could do with these players.”
He also offered advice to Marcus Rashford, suggesting a move abroad might be beneficial. “Going to Italy would do Rashford some good; it would shake him up, like it did for me when I signed for Lazio.”
Reflecting on his own experience, Gascoigne recalled, “I remember telling my father to go watch the team train a week before I left.”
He was surprised by the intensity and said, “Once there, I thought, ‘what a nice training session.’ But then I spoke to the manager, and he said, ‘this is the warm-up.'”
Gascoigne admitted, “I started to cry, telling my father I wouldn’t manage, but he reassured me, saying I’d get used to it.”
