Guido Angelozzi, Frosinone’s transfer director, has spoken to Italian sports daily Tuttosport ahead of their match against Juventus. He shared a series of strong statements on various players and their potential futures.
On Di Francesco, Angelozzi was particularly complimentary. “To me, it was an obvious choice,” he said, referring to their time together at Sassuolo where the club achieved Europa League qualification. Tuttosport reported his belief that the coach’s qualities remain strong despite some of his decisions not playing out as hoped. Angelozzi implied that he fully expects to see Di Francesco managing a top-tier club next season.
When it comes to Barrenechea, a rising star at Frosinone, Angelozzi was bullish. He forecast a bright future, saying that within two years he’d expect him to be a regular for the Argentine national team.
Angelozzi also touched upon the future of Soule’, a player who’s been attracting a lot of attention from clubs in England and Spain. He confirmed that Soule’ will remain at Frosinone until the end of the season. Despite having a “wonderful relationship” with Juventus, he denied any discussions about a January transfer for the player.
Lastly, Angelozzi spoke enthusiastically about Huijsen and Yildiz. He expressed a strong interest in acquiring Huijsen, while stating his admiration for Yildiz. “I would take him immediately,” Angelozzi declared, however he suggested that a move for the latter may not materialise this year.
