Frosinone’s Sporting Director Guido Angelozzi has opened up about the club’s transfer goals ahead of their match against Atalanta. He was speaking to Sky Sport in a pre-match interview.
Angelozzi said, “I strive to do my job in the best possible manner. We hope to sign a full-back as soon as possible to support the manager.” In recent times, the manager has had to make do with a shortage of defenders. Angelozzi emphasized on the necessity of the new addition to not only be skilled but to also possess strong moral character.
Angelozzi added, “The rest will be accomplished through day-to-day hard work with the coach. This year we have signed several foreign players. I needed help communicating with them since I only speak Sicilian.”
On rumours of a strategic partnership with Napoli for securing the services of player Popovic, Angelozzi stated, “I hope so. It’s not easy because several clubs are interested in him. But we will try our best. If a big club is interested in working together, surely we will collaborate.”
These comments clearly indicate the serious intent within the club to strengthen the squad and its management’s openness to both homegrown and foreign talent to achieve their objectives.
