Frosinone, Di Francesco: Disappointed, we had resumed a tough game

Frosinone coach, Eusebio Di Francesco, has given his thoughts on the match against Juventus, in an interview with DAZN.

Di Francesco stated, “I’m disappointed, we had taken back a difficult match. We didn’t have any full-backs, we’ve adapted those who were available and they did so willingly. It’s a shame as in certain situations you can err as in the second goal, where Vlahovic scored a great goal. We could have scored, we had a couple of opportunities with Harroui and Soule. It was a good match, played in the right way despite the difficulties of the first half.”

Relaying his half-time team speech, the Frosinone coach reflected, “We were too slow in moving the ball between the lines and in width. We narrowed the field too much, then in the second half we raised the flanks better. We passed the ball better from behind, everyone got involved in the play, even the little arms. We held Juventus at bay for 15 or 20 minutes.”

Expressing his frustration with the second goal they conceded, he added, “There was a late climb. We made a naivety that you pay against certain teams.”
