Swedish midfielder Albin Ekdal, formerly associated with Cagliari, Juventus, and Sampdoria, is speculated to be returning home to play for Djurgardens.
According to reports, Albin Ekdal, who represented Italian club Cagliari between the summers of 2011 and 2015, might be set to make a comeback to his native Sweden.
The rumours about the future of the former Juventus and Sampdoria player emerged from social media profiles of Nicolò Schira, who is known for being active on the football transfer front.
He hinted that Swedish team Djurgardens has expressed concrete interest in Ekdal, who is currently playing for Spezia.
Given the current stage of negotiations, it is not unlikely that Ekdal might indeed be heading back home. Over the course of his stint with Cagliari, the midfielder has achieved a commendable tally of 122 appearances, 8 goals, and 5 assists.
