Upon an interview with talkSport.com, Darren Bowman spoke about Inter Milan’s interest in acquiring Manchester City’s young star, Phil Foden. Bowman, who once coached Foden during his tenure at City’s academy, revealed how they nurtured him as he ascended through the ranks.
“There were tournaments where we took him along purely for the experience as he wasn’t able to play. We wanted him to learn and grow,” said Bowman. His words emphasise the importance of moulding young talents and preserving their trajectories, a practice which seemingly paid off for Foden.
Now, with Foden being eyed by Inter Milan, it’s clear that the youngster’s potential is recognised, not just in Manchester, but internationally. However, it remains uncertain if Foden would take up such an opportunity or continue his successful growth under Manchester City.
