Fiorentina’s Ranieri dedicates victory to partner, soon to be a father

Fiorentina defender Luca Ranieri expressed his satisfaction after his side managed to secure a draw with Ferencvaros in the Conference League. Speaking to Sky Sport post-match, Ranieri, who found the net during the match, summarized the high-pressure encounter.

Ranieri was ecstatic about his scoring feat, “An immense joy…We were looking for the goal. Good not to ever give up and attack, finally it arrived. I’m happy to have made another in Europe,” said the defender, dedicated the goal to his girlfriend who is due to give birth within a month.

Discussing Fiorentina’s position in the Conference League, Ranieri emphasized the team’s solid performance. “It’s nice, but the important thing is that we passed as the top of the group,” he noted. Looking ahead, he signaled readiness for their encounter against Verona.

Acknowledging the difficulty of the match, Ranieri stated that the team expected a tough challenge. “We expected it. Intense first half, with a lot of dirty balls but we haven’t conceded. Then we conceded a goal, but good to not give up and believe,” he said.
