Fiorentina transfer market, Pierozzi renews and goes on loan

Defender Niccolò Pierozzi has made the move from Fiorentina to Salernitana on loan. Despite recently renewing his contract with Fiorentina until 2025, Pierozzi opted for a loan stint with the Campania-based club.

A statement from Salernitana confirmed the transfer, “L’U.S. Salernitana 1919 announces it has reached an agreement with A.C.F. Fiorentina for the temporary transfer of defender Niccolò Pierozzi until 30 June 2024. The player will wear the number 27 shirt,” the club stated.

It appears however, that Pierozzi’s long-term future lies with Fiorentina, given his recent contract extension with the club. This comes as encouraging news for Fiorentina fans, signifying the club’s confidence in the young defender’s abilities.
