Fiorentina are reportedly prioritising the signing of Ruben Vargas, the Augsburg and Switzerland national team player. Following Napoli’s overtaking in the race for Ngonge, as reported by the “Corriere dello Sport”, Fiorentina seem to be left with no options.
The Viola’s management had initially tabled an offer of €8 million, of which €5 million was fixed and €3 million was in bonuses. However, this offer was rejected by Augsburg. Despite this initial refusal, there’s room for negotiation.
Post their efforts in the Supercoppa Italiana, the Fiorentina management represented by Pradé and Barone will be making a new, more considerable offer to Augsburg upon their return to Italy.
While accelerating their move for Vargas, Fiorentina has slowed down the negotiation tactics for a forward. The club’s proposed deal with Juventus for Moise Kean doesn’t seem convincing, given the substantial total costs between the player’s salary and the loan fee, and fierce competition for the Bianconeri striker.
