Ahead of the highly anticipated football match against Torino, Fiorentina’s head coach, Vincenzo Italiano, shared his thoughts during a press conference.
“We’ve returned to work after a bit of a break. I’ve seen the boys rested and satisfied. Now, there’s the last battle of 2023. We’ve recuperated some players and prepared well to face off against a tough adversary,” Italiano noted.
A tone of expectancy and determination echoed in his words as he highlighted the importance of this final game. He also acknowledged the significant role of the team’s supporters in propelling their performance.
“We gifted ourselves a serene Christmas with our families. We, however, have to continue dreaming and floating in these ranking zones. Things are going well for us; it’s not the time to give up. Tomorrow’s game will be tricky just like all Serie A matches. I hope the usual spectacle at the Franchi awaits us,” he said.
Italiano continued by expressing his hopes for the strong support from the crowd at their home ground, the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
“The Fiesole and entire stadium should try to push us, give us significant support as always. Torino has a great coach and strong players. Tomorrow’s match will be a difficult test; we have to do our best,” the Fiorentina head coach declared.
In concluding his remarks, Italiano confirmed the return to form and fitness of key players Bonaventura and Quarta following an influenza bout, adding a positive note to the forthcoming clash with Torino.
Italiano concluded, “I’m very pleased that we’re all available for tomorrow”.
