Gabor Kubatov, president of Ferencvaros, opened up about Dejan Stankovic’s ambition of coaching Inter in an interview with Fradi TV.
According to Kubatov, Stankovic is highly motivated to become the next manager of Inter and is determined to lead the team to a string of victories. The president revealed that the former Serbian international was incredibly passionate about joining them.
Kubatov said, “Stankovic wanted to come to us. He said, ‘Mr. President, give me this team’.” Evidently, Stankovic’s zeal led them to agree on financial terms swiftly, swiftly concluding an agreement within minutes.
Whilst it is still early days, Kubatov remains optimistic about the future of the squad under Stankovic’s leadership. “We are just at the beginning of our journey,” he reiterated. “The true character of the team will show in spring, but judging from the indications so far, we are confident we didn’t make a wrong decision.”
This story is, of course, part of ongoing football discourse, and only time will truly reveal if Stankovic’s potential move to Inter proves a wise choice for all parties involved.
