Felipe Anderson has opened up about his departure from Lazio this summer for a move back to Brazil with Palmeiras.
Speaking to *TNT Sports*, the Brazilian forward shared his thoughts on his emotional exit from the Italian club.
“Neither I nor those who have always stood by me ever imagined that my adventure with the Biancocelesti would come to an end,” Anderson said to *TNT Sports*.
He added: “They thought I would stay for a much longer time. Despite receiving an offer from the president to remain even after my playing career, when the opportunity to return home presented itself, I immediately considered it because I had been away for quite some time.”
Reflecting on his decision, Anderson remarked: “It was time to leave the club that saw me grow and return to Brazil.”
