Elmas: Moving to Bundesliga and Joining Leipzig is a Dream

Eljif Elmas, midfielder for RB Leipzig, recently spoke on the club’s official channels following his move to the Bundesliga.

Relating his excitement, the Macedonia international expressed that making the move to Bundesliga and joining Leipzig was a dream come true for him. He expressed admiration for the club’s distinctive style of football, highlighting their preference for gegenpressing, their high-tempo pace, and a strong attack.

Elmas said he admired the mix of young talent at the club and the experienced players who had spent considerable periods at the club, enhancing their performance. “That’s why transferring to Leipzig is the right step for me,” he said as he spoke of looking forward to meeting everyone in January.

He commended Leipzig’s ascent as one of the top Bundesliga teams, establishing a strong reputation in European football in a very short time. Upon discussing with Rouven Schröder, the Sporting Director and Marco Rose, the manager, Elmas was convinced he wanted to play for the club.

He acknowledged the challenging second-half of the season that lies ahead. Keen to contribute, Elmas voiced his intent to help Leipzig remain at the top of Bundesliga, and set his sights on besting Real Madrid in the Champions League.
