Alberto Dossena, a defender born in 1998, is officially a new player for Como.
After two seasons in Sardinia, Dossena departs from Cagliari.
The player was acquired from Avellino for approximately €150,000 and has now been sold for €8 million plus €2 million in bonuses.
In a statement released by the Lombardy club, they confirmed, “We are delighted to announce that Alberto Dossena has joined Como.”
The club added, “This transfer represents a significant investment in our squad as we aim to strengthen our defensive options.”
Dossena himself expressed his excitement about the move: “I’m thrilled to start this new chapter with Como and can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success.”
The exit from Cagliari marks a new challenge for Dossena, who had become a key player for the Sardinian side.
His impressive performances had attracted interest from several clubs, but Como emerged as the successful bidder.
The transfer highlights Como’s ambition to compete at higher levels and their commitment to bringing in quality players.
Cagliari also shared their sentiments, stating, “We wish Alberto all the best in his future endeavours and thank him for his dedication during his time with us.”
As the new season approaches, all eyes will be on Dossena as he integrates into his new team and embarks on this next phase of his career.
