As Inter Milan prepares for a significant event, the countdown is on for the contract renewal of Lautaro Martinez. The good news is that it won’t be long now, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, bringing delight to all in the Nerazzurri camp.
Martinez is set to be the next player to renew his commitment to the club. Following yesterday’s trio of contract renewals, Martinez is reportedly eager for his return to the team which will be managed gradually.
It is expected that his contract renewal will be announced early in 2024, possibly in time for the January 6 game, with a salary of around 8 million euros net income. According to the Italian media outlet, an agreement has already been reached between the Argentine striker and Inter Milan.
The new contract, if agreed, would bind Martinez to the club until at least 2028, in what is portrayed as a ‘marriage promise’. The hope, as is customary, is for a good health. All else, as far as Inter is concerned, will follow. And maybe it will apply to the adversaries too. But, Inzaghi, the team’s manager, already knows that.
