Coppa Italia sees spectator surge for Milan-Atalanta match

The Rossoneri may have been ousted from the competition, but it wasn’t for lack of support from fans watching at home, not to mention the interest of numerous football enthusiasts.

According to Calcio e Finanza, “yesterday’s match was the most-watched game of this year’s Coppa Italia, with over 4.4 million viewers,” equating to a 21.4% share. The report adds that the round of 16 match between Juventus and Salernitana came in second place with slightly less than 4.3 million viewers. Inter-Bologna rounded out the top three, attracting over 3.9 million viewers.
