Como’s sporting director, Carlalberto Ludi, spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss about the team’s transfer market activity and their impressive season to date.
He remarked, “Our CEO delivered an important message. Despite the defeat, the atmosphere was wonderful, much like the match itself, with both teams engaging in competitive yet fair play on the field.”
Ludi expressed his admiration for several moments during the game, saying, “I was struck by many episodes and by a great atmosphere. The regret is conceding the goal early because in Serie A, you cannot afford to start playing from the second minute. Any uncertainties are punished by teams as the level has increased.”
He acknowledged Napoli’s performance, adding, “All credit to Napoli, but we certainly have our share of the blame. Napoli made a great impression on me, and it is clear Antonio Conte’s imprint is already visible. They are a solid team and remain undeterred. Napoli should be satisfied with their work so far.”
Ludi believes that maintaining their current level of professionalism and quality could lead to a bright future for Napoli. He said, “If they maintain this professionalism and quality, they are destined for a high-profile career. Two years ago, we embarked on a journey committed to producing good football and perhaps enforcing it against any opponent.”
He concluded by discussing the team’s philosophy and player selection, noting, “Of course, we do it not just for show but to achieve results, and I am convinced we will find satisfaction. The mentality is that of the coach and his staff; we have tried to give them suitable players to reflect those ideas in terms of quality.”
Ludi admitted the challenge of building such a competitive team quickly, stating, “The players align with what we want to do, having brought in fifteen new faces. It was certainly not easy to immediately construct such a competitive squad in a short time.”
