Chelsea’s Palmer: Leaving City was not my intention

Chelsea player Cole Palmer has spoken about his transfer from Manchester City to the Blues in an interview with Sky Sport.

Palmer expressed that he never wanted to leave City and that his original intention was to go out on loan for a year, return, and be ready for the first team. According to him, he was informed that a loan move would not be possible, with his only options being to stay or leave permanently.

Soon after, Chelsea approached him, to which he accepted their offer. He expressed his contentment with his decision stating, “Then Chelsea called me and I said yes, I would go. I’m happy to be here and satisfied with this decision I made”. These comments were made by Palmer in an interview with Sky Sport.

The above illustrates Palmer’s previous ambition to remain at Manchester City and his subsequent acceptance of his move to Chelsea.
