Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has spoken out following the team’s defeat to Wolves in the Premier League. This statement came during a post-match interview on Sky Sports.
In the interview, Pochettino admitted to feeling let down by his side’s current standing in the league. “Of course, we would have wanted to be in a different position at this point in the season, I can’t say otherwise,” he said.
The Chelsea manager was frank about the difficulties his team has faced, but pointed out he was not frustrated. “We knew it was going to be tough, but the circumstances didn’t go in our favour,” Pochettino told Sky Sports.
He further attributed part of their performance to injuries, which he believes have hindered the team’s growth and development.
Despite this, Pochettino is confident about the future. He concluded, “I have no doubt that we will be in the position we deserve and we belong, further down the line.”
