Negotiations between Napoli and Chelsea for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku have currently hit a stalemate.
According to Sport Mediaset, the Serie A side Napoli has expressed interest in acquiring the former Inter Milan striker from Chelsea.
Napoli has reportedly demanded a compensatory amount of between €40 million and €50 million to secure the Belgian forward.
Involved parties have confirmed that the negotiations are ongoing, and there is hope that an agreement can still be reached.
“As it stands, there is a significant gap between the valuations of the two clubs,” sources close to Napoli have revealed to Sport Mediaset.
Meanwhile, Chelsea remains firm on their asking price for Lukaku, making the negotiations particularly challenging.
The situation is being closely monitored by fans and analysts who are eager to see if a deal can be finalised before the transfer window closes.
Further developments are expected in the coming days as both clubs continue to work towards a resolution.
