AC Milan striker, Chaka Traoré, expressed his elation following his team’s convincing 4-1 victory over Cagliari in the Coppa Italia match. Talking to Mediaset post-match, the young forward didn’t hide his excitement.
Traoré shared, “I’ve wanted to score this goal for a long time. I’m extremely happy that we won.” He conveyed immense pleasure not only at his personal achievement of netting a goal but also with the overall performance of the team. However, he also admitted to being overwhelmed by the reality of the victory, confessing, “No, I didn’t believe it. I wanted to give my utmost, but I still can’t believe it.”
The young star went on to speak highly of his teammates, acknowledging the presence and influence of senior players like Rafael Leao, Olivier Giroud, and Mike Maignan. He admitted that as part of the younger cohort, they have much to learn from these seasoned players.
Traoré added expressing his deep pride and honour at being part of AC Milan, “I’m thrilled to be part of this team and honoured to wear this jersey.”
This remarkable match, and Traoré’s impressive performance, are surely signs that Milan is a team to watch as the season progresses.
