In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, veteran football coach Fabio Capello shared his views about the heated competition for the Serie A title.
According to him, Juventus’ recent victory against Roma is a significant development. It narrows the gap at the top but doesn’t signal an outright head-to-head race. Capello maintains his belief that the momentum still lies with Inter Milan. He suggested that unless unforeseen circumstances arise, Manager Simone Inzaghi’s team remains the leading contender due to their sheer strength.
However, Capello also pointed to Juventus’s relentless pursuit of a title win.
“Of course, [Max] Allegri is still targeting the Champions League, but he does believe in the Scudetto and he’s right to believe in it,” said Capello during his dialogue with La Gazzetta dello Sport. He elaborated that the relentless determination and fighting spirit of Juventus, a team he knows intimately, means they will continue to compete until the end, with the potential to only get stronger.
