Capello: Inter could reach Champions League final if the coach wants it

Experienced football manager Fabio Capello has shared his thoughts on Inter Milan’s potential journey in the Champions League. Capello, in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, discussed his views on the Serie A giants.

Discussing the main contenders for the title, Capello cast doubts on current form of Manchester City. The former England manager noted, “This City leaves some doubts, it still has technical quality but more muscularity and less genius.” He also praised Real Madrid’s young sensation Jude Bellingham, describing the 20-year-old’s standout performance as “extraordinary”.

Further, he acknowledged that while Inter is in the championship race, he believes these two teams might have an edge. In his words: “…Inter is playing, but I believe these two have a bit extra. Ideally take them on as late as possible in the Champions League.” Capello further praised Arsenal’s progress and highlighted his impressions after their game against Brighton, but also hinted at English team’s struggles in reaching the finals.

Capello’s optimism about Inter’s prospects in the competition continued, as he expressed confidence in the current manager Simone Inzaghi. According to Capellos’s statement, ” Yes. It depends if the coach wants it. With the squad that Inzaghi has, he could potentially be competitive. If he wants to be competitive…”.
