Cagliari, Ranieri: We will achieve safety through this fight

Cagliari manager, Claudio Ranieri has weighed in on the team’s recent defeat to Napoli during a post-match press conference, as reported by TuttoNapoli.net.

Ranieri expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance, especially with his attackers, whom he thought managed to give Napoli a hard time. He was quoted saying, “We tried to exploit our two hotshots on the attack. I am happy with the team’s performance, we fought until the end. We deserved a draw, but unfortunately, it did not happen. However, we must acknowledge that Napoli are the Italian champions”.

On the topic of Osimhen, Ranieri admirably expressed that when a player can weave through four men, there’s not much anyone can do. He emphasised, “You can’t blame any of my men”, highlighting a sense of unity and belief in his players despite the loss.

When discussing the team’s likelihood for survival in the league, Ranieri affirmed his focus on his team only. He stressed, “We started with a handicap, but I am convinced we will secure our survival by fighting in the way we have”. The Cagliari coach insisted that he and his team need to “keep going, match after match”, keeping the belief in their resilience at the forefront of their competitive journey.
