In the 16th round of Serie A 2023/2024, Bologna faced off against Roma at the Dall’Ara, with Bologna coming out on top with a 2-0 victory.

As the second half got underway, Bologna furthered their lead. A cross from Ferguson found its way into the net off an unfortunate deflection by Kristensen, making it 2-0 for Bologna in the 49th minute.
Despite consistent efforts from Roma and a clear chance for Belotti, who fired his shot straight at the goalkeeper Ravaglia, Bologna held their ground. Further drama ensued when Lucumì was initially sent off for a foul on Azmoun, but a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review deemed it offside and reversed the decision.
Bologna’s Ndoye was declared the best player on the pitch.
