Bologna’s new head coach, Vincenzo Italiano, has expressed a strong interest in bringing Fiorentina player Christian Kouame to the club. According to a report by Gazzetta dello Sport, Italiano has formally requested the signing from Bologna’s director of football, Giovanni Sartori.
“Kouame is someone we know well and believe can add a lot to our attacking options,” a source close to Italiano told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 26-year-old forward’s contract with Fiorentina is set to expire in 2025, a factor that could play a significant role in negotiations.
Italiano regards Kouame as a pivotal addition to his squad, given their previous collaboration at Fiorentina. The coach believes the player can adapt quickly to Bologna’s style of play.
